Westjet Targets Business Class

Westjet is certainly planning to stretch its wings. In January, it was learnt that Westjet Airlines would be expanding its network and fly to smaller destinations which it had not catered to in a little more than 15 years it has been in the business.

Latest reports suggest that Westjet is trying to woo more business travelers. Westjet is already a name to reckon with when it comes to leisure travelers and with their focused approach to increase their share of business travelers, the Air Canada and Westjet fight is going to get stiffer than ever before.
News has it that the corporate sales team of Westjet has managed to sign up more clients adding to their exist clientele of American Express, Wal-Mart and others. Westjet is going hard with their offers including performance based incentives, travel and third party lounge privileges for the employees of their clients.

Westjet has certainly managed to stay as a low cost carrier with amazing customer service. They have been revamping their fleets and upgrading their in flight entertainment features as well. Can they give Air Canada a further run for their money? Would Westjet manage to stir up another impressive growth story? What do you think?
