Westjet who had been a pioneer in so many ways in the airlines industry has managed to impress with their out of the box thinking yet again. The Westjet Care-antee policy was launched just as the recession started to show some signs of adieu.

The Care-antee policy of Westjet Airlines allows a customer to cancel his or her reservations within a day of the booking without any cancellation charge to pay. It offers free online check in and seat selection within 24 hours prior to departure. There are several other benefits such as transferring of credit files to near and dear ones without any fee, newer flights that would offer extra leg room and bin space than earlier, free snacks and refreshment and many more.

The philosophy of Westjet Airlines has always been that of a no compromise on services while a world of savings with their ticket prices. Westjet has certainly managed to stick to their founding vision and are well on their way to become the best airline in Canada undisputedly.

Westjet Employees are Owners Too!

Westjet is not only one of the most preferred airlines in Canada and entire North America but is also one of the most sought after employers in the airline industry. Westjet Airlines is the only company that has policies in place where by an employee can become an owner of the company.

Besides offering salaries as per industry standard Westjet has an Employee Share Purchase Plan which allows employees to buy shares and be one of the many owners of the Airline. The shares offer an opportunity to the employees to share profit. Now it is easy to understand why the employees of Westjet Airlines are so ardent not to waste the company’s resources. In addition to offering the share purchase plan to its employees, Westjet Airlines also offers several other perks including travel privileges and various other benefits.

Apparently, the No. 2 airline company in Canada is not only a passenger’s favorite choice for flying but is also the best airline in Canada to work for. For all of those who wanted to know why the staffs at Westjet are super friendly and forever smiling, perhaps they just made a nice amount of bonus through the dividends!

WHY do passengers LOVE Westjet?

An airline company cannot simply survive and strive to be the best flying companion if it only manages to offer cheap tickets and miss out on all the other essentials of a flight. Passengers love Westjet for a multitude of reasons.

We all have had an experience when the seat pockets of a flight are more a house of passenger refuse than magazines and newspapers. Many airline companies have in flight entertainments but most seatback TVs either do not function or they do not have enough channels. Westjet Airlines is one of those very few airlines in the world who manage to ensure that little things are taken care of. A smiling flight attendant is a common phenomenon in a flight and it is part of the cabin crew training and job requisite but a flight’s hygiene, passenger’s overall experience and the additional services is what sets an airline apart and Westjet Airlines surely knows how to climb up to become the best airline in Canada.

Their Care-antee policy has given more reasons than ever for passengers to love flying with Westjet. So the real question is who wouldn't  want to access some of the best services at amazingly cheap prices?

What Competitive Advanages Does Westjet Have Over Other Major Airlines?

Westjet has been a competitive airline all through its existence. Upon launch Westjet Airlines had one of those rare business plans that could change the way one looks at an industry. Today when we look back it may sound obvious but back then it must have taken them a great deal of brain storming to find out their precise target audience and the focused modus operandi. Operating cheap flights is not a very easy job to go about and Westjet has managed to steer through it rather profitably.

Westjet Airlines is one of those rare airline companies that offer surprisingly cheap ticket prices and at the same time offer live satellite TV, free beverages and several in flight services at small additional charges. The most notable competitive advantage of Westjet Airlines has been its Care-antee policy and it somehow propels the airline to be the best airline in Canada. No cancellation charges if reservations are cancelled within 24 hours from the time of booking, free seat bookings and a basket of additional perks are definitely new to Canadians. As a matter of fact, most airlines in the world do not boast of such services.

Is Westjet Becoming a Dominant Airline in Canada?

Westjet has already been a dominating airline in Canada for quite some time now. It is no more a matter subject to debate that Westjet Airlines is the No. 2 airline company in Canada. The only reason why Westjet is still not the No. 1 is because Air Canada operates on more routes than Westjet Airlines. Clearly, the revenue and passengers using an airline would be more with Air Canada than Westjet. 

Having said that, the scenario is likely to change since as per the latest updates Westjet is planning to go head on with Air Canada. Westjet is likely to launch more regional routes by 2013 which would take its reach to destinations where Air Canada is still the only flying option. Westjet Airlines is already the preferred airline in Canada when it comes to travelling to destinations in the United States, Mexico or the Caribbean and also for all the routes within Canada where Westjet operates. With more routes, communities who do not get to benefit from Westjet would get an opportunity to save while enjoying all the expected services in flight. Now that is awesome!

What Makes Westjet Airlines Standout?

While many may think that the cheap ticket prices have been the most significant factor in the success story of Westjet, I would like to differ. Sure, the cost did go on to play a major role but it did not turn around its fortunes based on just that. Westjet Airlines stand out in many other aspects.

It is the attention to little detail that makes Westjet Airlines the best airline in Canada. The cabin crew of Westjet is more than friendly and helpful, seats are great, the service is rendered not as a part of the job but as servicing a guest and small aspects such as cleanliness, professionalism also play a major role in livening up one’s experience.

There are several airlines all around the world who offer great rates and promise to offer some pleasant in flight experience. In some cases they actually live up to their claims but with most airlines, the staff hardly has the sufficient time for passengers nor do they lend an attentive ear. This is where Westjet Airlines has managed to stay firmly rooted with their principles right from the start of their journey, or should we say flight.

Need Reasons to Fly on Westjet Airlines?

Flights were a costly dream for most Canadians until a certain company named Westjet appeared on the scene about fifteen years back. Westjet Airlines virtually stormed into the industry with a meticulously researched business plan which has hence become a standard case study for business majors.

There are several reasons to fly on Westjet Airlines and it is not without quite a few of them that it has emerged as the Best Airline in Canada over the last decade. Anything cheap calls for a certain level of compromise and airlines were not immune to this. While we all want to pay less for a specific service, we also do not want to walk away from the luxuries of comfort. Westjet Airlines is easily the cheapest airline in Canada and in doing so they do not take away the services that you would expect in a flight. Several low cost carriers compromise on customer service and in flight entertainment and this is where Westjet manages to stay different.

When one can get the cheapest flights along with the best available service, it is rarely a mystery why most Canadians prefer to fly on Westjet Airlines.
